| Abstract | ||
| Our study was directed to evaluate the protective efficacy afforded by two different IBDV vaccination regime in broiler chickens vaccinated on day 1 with HVT-IBD or vaccinated with live intermediate plus IBDV vaccine on day 12 and intermediate IBDV vaccine on day 18 against challenged with vvIBDV local field isolate " N.B./Men.Egypt/015" in broiler chickens on day 28.Sufficient number of one day old broiler chickens were divided into 6 groups of 25 bird of each, three groups were challenged with vvIBDV on day 28 (G1, G3 and G5), vaccinated on day 1 with HVT-IBD vector vaccine (G1) or with intermediate plus and intermediate IBDV vaccines on day 12 and 18, respectively (G3) and non vaccinated challenged group (G5), while another three groups were kept without challenge (G2,G4 and G6), vaccinated broiler chickens on day 1 with HVT-IBD vector vaccine (G2) or with intermediate plus and intermediate IBDV vaccines on day 12 and 18, respectively (G4) and non vaccinated non challenged group (G6), all groups were monitored 7 days post challenge (dpc) for clinical signs ,mortality, gross lesion , BBR, BBI and MSI. All vaccinated challenged groups were protected against mortality , clinical signs and partial protection against bursal atrophy versus 2/25 (8%) mortality in non vaccinated challenged group G5. | ||
