| Abstract | ||
| This study aimed to know the size of the food gap of- wheat, maize, rice - red meat and Poultry in the Arab world, Besides the rate of self-sufficiency of those goods, and to predict the size of the gap in the coming years, and also to identify the most important Factors affecting the size of the gap and the rate of studied self-sufficiency. The study showed that the most important determinants of the size of the gap food self-sufficiency ratio of wheat is in the amount of production, the amount of exports, and the number of the population, and for crop maize, the most important determinants of the size of the gap food export amount, the amount of imports, the percentage of self-sufficiency which is determinant in the amount of production, and the number of population, and for rice, the most important determinants of the size food gap and the self-sufficiency ratio of it is in the amount of production, the amount of exports, and the quantity of imports, and the index of average per capita GDP, study also showed that the most important determinants of the size of the gap food sufficiency ratio self of red meat is the number of Slaughtered cattle and buffalo, and the amount of exports, and the quantity of imports, and the number of the population, and for meat white study showed that the most important determinants of the size of the gap food self-sufficiency ratio of which represented in, the amount of production, and the quantity of imports and population. | ||
