| Abstract | ||
| Abstract The aim of the current research is to study parental awareness skills as related to Empathy for Parents of Autistic Children and their Siblings. The research was based on the descriptive and comparative approach because it is suitable for the objectives and assumptions of the research. The sample consisted of two groups. The first group calculated the psychometric characteristics of the study tools: a sample consisting of (75) families from families of autistic children in one of the special centers in Cairo, and the ages of the children ranged between (9-12) years, with an average of 10.6760 years and a standard deviation of 0.7231. The second group is the basic study sample. It consisted of (120) mother - father - brothers – autistic children, distributed evenly over (30) families of autistic children whose intelligence ranged between (60-70). A degree with an average of 10.6733 years and a standard deviation of 0.7220, and the degree of intelligence ranged, and the researcher used several tools, namely: the Accessibility Scale for the Other (Prepared by Alison F Garton & Fyal Gringart and translated /Abdelaziz, 2017). Parental Awareness Skills Scale (Preparation / Researcher). The results of the study are a strong statistically significant correlation at the level of significance (0.01) between penetration of the other in autistic children and parental awareness skills of the autistic children's parents and sisters. The presence of statistically significant differences at level (0.01) between male and female of autistic children in the degrees of penetration of the other with the cognitive and emotional aspect in favor of females. | ||
