| Abstract | ||
| This research aims mainly to identify the level of rural women's perception of the impact of the phenomenon of climate change on Egyptian agriculture in some villages of Tanta district, in Gharbiah governorate, and to determine the relationships between the degrees of rural women's perception of the impact of the phenomenon of climate change on Egyptian agriculture in general and its five dimensions, and personal characteristics studied. This research was conducted in Tanta district in Gharbiah governorate, three villages were selected randomly, they were; Mehlett Menouf, Kafr Elhama, and Kafr Essam. It was selected random sample of 5% of the total rural women holders or the wife of the farmers holding in the agricultural cooperatives associations in the randomly selected villages. Thus, the size of the selected sample was amounted to 183 respondents, with rate 109 respondents from the village of Mehlett Menouf, 36 respondents from the village of Kafr Elhama, and 38 respondents from the village of Kafr Essam. Data were collected by using a personal interviewing questionnaire prepared according to the research objectives. Data were collected using a questionnaire. Numerical frequencies tables, percentages, intermediate, and person's simple correlation coefficient were used in analysis and presentation. Cornbrash's Alpha coefficient was used to estimate the stability of measures that multiple items. The main findings were as follows: - 41.5 % of rural women have a low level of perception of the impact of climate change on Egyptian agriculture, and 56.3% of rural women have a medium level of perception. There is a significant relationship between the age of the respondents, the family size, and the sources of knowledge, media exposure, and mental flexibility and between the perceptions of rural women to the impact of climate change phenomenon on Egyptian agriculture. However, the significant correlation was not approved between the monthly income of the respondent family, leadership, and the rural women's perception of the impact of climate change phenomenon on Egyptian agriculture. | ||
