| Abstract | ||
| Purpose Tocomparethekeratometry (K) values and corneal astigmatism obtained using the Verion image-guided system, Pentacam, and intraocular lens (IOL) Master. Patients and methods This retrospective study evaluated 96 eyes of 58 patients scheduled for toric IOL implantation. Results The study included 96 eyes of 58 patients with cataract, among those 34 (58.6%) were men and 24 (41.4%) were women. Age of the patients ranged from 35 to 82 years, with a mean of 54.7.50±16.1 years. Double data entry on SPSS program, version 23 was done. A P value of less than 0.05 was considered statistically significant. Mean flat K (Kf) was 43.3±1.8, 43.3±1.7, and 43.2±1.6 in Verion, Pentacam, and IOL Master, respectively. Mean steep K (Ks) was 45.3±1.8, 41.1 ±1.7, and 45.2±1.6 in Verion, Pentacam, and IOL Master, respectively. Mean average K was 43.3±1.7, 44.2±1.6, and 44.2±1.5 6 in Verion, Pentacam, and IOL Master, respectively. Mean astigmatism was 1.8±0.9, 2.0±1.0, and 1.98±1.0 in Verion, Pentacam, and IOL Master, respectively. There was no statistically significant difference among the three devices. Conclusion The K values, power of corneal astigmatism, have no significant difference, and there is a good agreement among the Verion, IOL Master, and Pentacam. Verion image-guided system is a reliable system and can be interchangeably used with other currently used devices. | ||
