| Abstract | ||
| Digital diplomacy is currently perceived as a cardinal direction in diplomatic communication within the new century that is resulting from globalization and new public diplomacy. In light of the developments of information and communication technology, perceiving diplomacy and diplomatic relations have been witnessing radical changes, which paved the way to new digital diplomacy based on these new technologies. Research on this new form of diplomacy, however, rests on scant empirical footing. This paper is an attempt to fill this gap by answering the question: can digital diplomacy establish an appropriate international environment commensurate to international footholds and greater facility in the attainment of national interests? باتت الدبلوماسية الرقمية يُنظر إليها في الوقت الراهن بوصفها اتجاه أساسي مهم في الاتصالات الدبلوماسية خلال القرن الجديد الناتج على إثر ما فرضته العولمة والدبلوماسية العامة الجديدة. ففي ضوء التطورات الحادثة في تقنيات الاتصالات والمعلومات، تشهد العلاقات الدبلوماسية والدبلوماسية تغيرات جذرية مهدت الطريق لدبلوماسية رقمية جديدة قائمة على هذه التقنيات الجديدة. برغم هذا، لا يزال البحث في هذا الشکل الجديد من الدبلوماسية يعاني من ندرة واضحة ويعتمد على أساس تجريبي ضئيل. من أجل هذا تسعى هذه الدراسة لسد جانب من هذه الفجوة من خلال الإجابة على السؤال التالي: هل يمکن للدبلوماسية الرقمية تدشين بيئة دولية مناسبة تعبد الطريق نحو تحقيق المصالح الوطنية؟ | ||
