| Abstract | ||
| Organophosphates now account for roughly half of all pesticides. Due to their widespread agricultural use as pesticides on fruits and vegetables, as well as their use in mosquito abatement in public settings like parks, organophosphates are a societal health and environmental hazard. It takes a lot of time and money to monitor and remove these pollutants from the environment. As a result, this study used a novel technique based on produced silver vanadate nanoparticles to try to remove these chemicals from drinking water and wastewater. The silver vanadate nanoparticles (α-Ag3VO4) were created utilising a simple microwave aided process to remove several pesticide groups found in Egyptian agricultural crops and water. The effect of a fixed dose of Ag3VO4 nanoparticles on three chemicals, chlorpyrifos, dimethoate, and malathion, was investigated at a concentration of 0.5 mg/kg of each drug. After only 15 minutes of treatment with 0.1 g of Ag3VO4 nanoparticles in methanol/water (1:1 v/v), these compounds were no longer visible on the device's chromatogram, which is regarded a short period for altering these compounds and changing their nature in an attempt to get rid of them. After 60 minutes of treatment with the same amount of Ag3VO4 nanoparticles, 99 percent of the chlorpyrifos dissolved in pure water was dispersed. Thermo ScientificTM Orbitrap ExplorisTM 120 mass spectrometer was used to determine chlorpyrifos breakdown products utilising a mass scan of the Qtrap API 6500+ LC-MS/MS System. Supported Ag3VO4 NPs could be employed in long-term environmental cleanup, according to this study, because they can be used in aqueous solutions at room temperature without requiring extra stimuli to keep the environment safe and clean. | ||
