| Abstract | ||
| In this paper, the peristaltic flow of a micropolar fluid in a vertical symmetric channel with rotation and heat transfer is investigated. The flow analysis has been developed for low Reynolds number and long wavelength approximation. The flow is investigated in a wave frame of reference moving with the velocity of the wave. The numerical solution for velocity, temperature and microrotation component have been obtained ,The system of differential equations is solved numerically using NDsolve Mathematica method. The numerical Solution computation is performed using the Mathematica inbuilt numerical Solver NDsolve method. The impact of various physical parameters on the velocity, the temperature and the microrotation component are discussed through graphs. Comparison was made with the results obtained in the presence and absence of rotation. The results indicate that the effect of the micropolar parameter rotation , density the material constants Prandtl number and heat source/sink are very pronounced in the phenomena. Numerical results are graphically discussed for various values of physical parameters of interest. The present study has a wide range of applications in bio-medical engineering, i.e. peristaltic flow of a micropolar fluid. | ||
