| Abstract: Hospital information system (HIS) is a comprehensive, integrated and specialized systems designed to manage both administrative and clinical aspects of hospitals and healthcare information facilities. Aim: proposed a job description after Analyze job activities performed by nurses using health information system at Al-Rajhy Hospital. Study subjects: A available ICU nurses who using (HIS) No= 26. Study tools: Three tools used namely: I -personal data sheet, II- diary and III-observational performance checklist. Result: There were highly percent of the studied nurses were used vital signs record, assessment the patient condition, bed making and documenting patient data Conclusion: Majority of the subject doing all tasks regarding to the attendance and punctuality, appearance, work habits, staff relations and communications with patients, nursing care plan activities, material planning, safety measures and patient safety, documentation, coordination, keeping up-to-date technically. Recommendation: Guidelines and manuals books for users should be widely available to support them. Arrange continues training workshops for HISs users to improve their computer and HIS skills. | ||
