| Abstract | ||
| Background: Improving infertile couples' lifestyles resulted in improved performance, higher quality of life, and lower health-care costs. Aim of the study: Assess the effects of a maternity-led pro-fertility promoting lifestyle intervention on the improvements of health-promoting behaviors of women undergoing infertility treatment. Design: A quasi-experimental one-group (pre-test and post-test) research design was adopted which was conducted in the Gynecological outpatient clinic at the private Ajyal hospital in Sohag, Egypt. Sample: A purposive sample of 94 infertile women were recruited for this study. Tools: Two tools were used: Tool(1) A scheduled interview questionnaire.Tool(2) Health-Promoting Lifestyle Profile [HPLP II] (Adult Version). Results : The total mean score of the health-promoting lifestyle profile domains, including health responsibility, physical activity, nutrition, spiritual growth, personal relationships, and stress management, were significantly improved in post-intervention study participants' women compared to pre-intervention study participants' women (p . 0.001) Conclusion: A maternity-led pro-fertility-promoting lifestyle intervention was found to be successful in altering lifestyle risk factors for infertility and enhancing the effectiveness of infertility therapy by boosting pregnancy rates and correcting risk factors. Recommendations: The maternity-led pro-fertility lifestyle intervention must be clinically applicable and integrated into routine practise for infertile patients. Prioritize a healthy lifestyle above ART by adopting a pro-fertility health-promoting lifestyle. | ||
