| Abstract | ||
| In this paper, the divorce phenomenon and its determinants in Egypt during (1986-2006) are considered. The effective divorce rate is computed and the partial effective divorce rates are defined and computed also. The relationships between the partial effective divorce rates and some important determinants are stated through statistical models. Depending on these relationships, a suggested logistic regression model for estimating the relationship between the effective divorce rate and some important demographic& socio-economic determinants is constructed.
