| Abstract | ||
| The aim of the research is to verify the effectiveness of a proposed educational unit about Architecture of Islamic Heritage in developing the visual culture of artistic education students in the 2nd term of the school year 2021/2022. In the unit, the researcher has focused on the dimensions of visual culture as an approach to assimilate the artistic heritage and Architecture of Islamic Heritage that enrich teaching methods and develop visual culture with architectural models made by Students of Art Education that simulate Al-Mu’izz Street. The research sample included 120 (One hundred and twenty) female students of Grade two at the Art Education section – Faculty of Education / Suez University. Relevant research tools have been applied as a criterion of visual culture skills together with the proposed educational unit which included some teaching strategies, such as cognitive trip, practical statement and brain-storming. The researcher has assumed that there is a difference of statistical significance ≤ 0.05 between the average degrees, in the favour of the after-application of the criterion of visual culture skills. The researcher recommends the necessity of teaching the art of Architecture of Islamic Heritage ture and developing the visual culture inside the syllabi of Students of Art Education.
