| Abstract | ||
| Despite the technological development in clothing manufacturing technology in general, the ready-made clothing industry still faces a problem with the constantly changing measurements of women's outer clothing and its need for clothing consumption, which affects the family budget. The research problem is: How can the sizes be changed in the model? Is it possible to control the sizes of clothing garment using different closing closures? The research significance is evident in adjusting the sizes of clothing garment using clothing closures, which helps in the continuity of use of clothing piece as the woman's weight changes, whether increased or decreased, and thus maintaining the economic level of the family. The research aims to identify the different clothing closures, their advantages and disadvantages, and to find a suitable solution for ready-made clothing when body sizes change for the same model, by using closing methods to change the size of the garment. The study was based on the experimental method, which deals with conducting experiments through (9) proposed designs, each of which is implemented with three different closure methods. One of the most important results is the presence of a strong, positive correlation between the questionnaire’s axes: the aesthetic, functional, and economic aspects. The researcher recommends that in order to increase interest in research and scientific dissertations on clothing closures, avoiding fast fashion and embracing slow fashion in order to achieve the principle of sustainability in the ready-to-wear garment industry. | ||
