| The importance of animal wealth is represented in the material value at which that wealth is estimated, and because it is the only source of providing sources of animal protein necessary for human food, which are red meat, white meat, dairy and fish, in addition to being the main source of providing animal proteins necessary for human food, and the animal production sector contributes about 41.29% of the value of agricultural production in 2021, and red meat contributes about 36.32% of the total value of animal production in Egypt in 2021, it is clear that Egypt's total production of meat Al-Hamra reached 106.46 thousand tons in 2021 compared to 99.84 thousand tons in 2020, and the average per capita share was 7.8 kg / year, and the self-sufficiency rate of meat recorded 60.1%. The New Valley Governorate is one of the promising governorates for investment that the state is interested in, due to the absence of its climate from epidemic and endemic diseases, the availability of agricultural research cadres and animal and veterinary production in the governorate, the availability of manpower, as the area of the New Valley is about 440 thousand kilometers, equivalent to about 44% of the area of Egypt, and agriculture represents the main profession for the residents of the New Valley, where about 65% of the valley's population employs, and animal production is an essential element in agricultural production, The total number of cattle is about 67,809 thousand cattle, including cows and buffaloes, by about 16.8% of the total republic, while the number of sheep is about 39 thousand sheep, by about 2.01% of the total republic, and about 27 thousand goats, by about 2.4% of the total republic during 2021. The research aims in general to study the current situation of red meat production in Egypt, and in particular to study the most important factors affecting the production of red meat in the New Valley Governorate, to identify the most important problems that hinder the expansion of red meat production in the New Valley Governorate, Determining the size of the apparent and objective gap and the percentage of self-sufficiency of red meat in Egypt, predicting both production and consumption of red meat until 2030. By studying the determining factors for the production of red meat in the center of Dakhla in the New Valley Governorate in the study sample as a dependent variable, it is clear the effect of many factors on the production of red meat as independent mutafers, namely the duration of the fattening cycle, the amount of green fodder, the amount of concentrated feed, the amount of dry feed, the weight of the animal at the beginning of fattening, the age of the animal, that the first category (less than five heads) has a direct relationship between the amount of red meat and both the duration of the fattening cycle, The amount of green fodder, the amount of concentrated feed, the amount of dry feed, the weight of the animal at the beginning of fattening, the age of the animal, where it is clear that by increasing the previous variables by 1%, this leads to an increase in the amount of red meat in the study sample by about 0.153%, 0.058%, 0.112%, 0.025%, 0.017%, that the second category (from 5 to less than 10 heads) The existence of a direct relationship between the amount of red meat and both the duration of the fattening cycle, the amount of green fodder, the amount of concentrated feed, The amount of dry feed, the weight of the animal at the beginning of fattening, the age of the animal, where it is clear that by increasing the previous variables by 1%, this leads to an increase in the amount of red meat in the study sample by about 0.532%, 1.265%, 0.921%, 2.362%, 0.028%, The third category (more than 10 heads) has a positive relationship between the amount of red meat and the duration of the fattening cycle, the amount of green fodder, the amount of concentrated feed, the amount of dry feed, the weight of the animal at the beginning of fattening, the age of the animal, where it is clear that by increasing the previous variables by 1%, this leads to an increase in the amount of red meat in the study sample by about 3.20%, 0.87%, 5.247%, 0.952%, 0.020%. It was found that the most important productive problems that hinder the expansion of red meat production in the center of Dakhla in the New Valley Governorate in the study sample using square Ka2 are the increase in the purchase prices of calves by about 93.3%, the decrease in the average weight of the animal at the end of the fattening cycle by about 90.8%, the increase in the prices of concentrated feed by about 83.3%, the high wages of trained workers 81.7%, Decrease in access to green fodder by 76.7%, decrease in the nutritional value of dry fodder by 73.3%, decrease in veterinary care by about 70.8%, scarcity of high-productivity breeds by about 65.8%, prevalence of diseases by about 62.5%, insufficient feed factories by about 61.7%. The study recommends the need to pay attention to the establishment of factories to provide concentrated fodder, green fodder, attention to trained labor, the provision of veterinary care, and the import of high-productivity breeds. | ||
