| Abstract | ||
| Teeth that are unable to fully or partially erupt are caused by the teeth erupting in a misaligned position, at an angle, or due to a lack of bone space. The third molars are the final teeth to appear, especially in the lower jaw, and are more likely to grow laterally. The treatment for the impacted lower third molar usually is to take the whole tooth. Extraction of impacted teeth should be done at a young age in order to facilitate faster healing and avoid complications. Tooth root formation in young patients is still in the form of root tooth epithelium. Histological features of root formation in young patients have not been widely reported. The sample of this study used the root tissue of the third molars after odontectomy at the age of 16 years. After all histology specimens were done, all samples were examined under a light microscope magnified 400 times to observe the root structure of the third molars tooth root tissue. Histology of root formation from impacted lower third molars, showing high mesenchyme cells, venule, arteriole, and cellular pulp proliferative in the apical pulpal zone. Conclusion: The histological image obtained from the preparation of immature molar teeth revealed a high number of mesenchyme cells, venules, arterioles, and proliferative cellular pulp in the apical pulpal zone. For this reason, the extraction of impacted teeth in patients during the teething period must be complete, so that there is no residual epithelium left behind which can become a cyst in the future. | ||
