| Abstract | ||
| The basic aim of the current paper is to investigate the influence of the addition of three different chemical elements including Tungsten, Aluminum, and Cobalt to the Fe-Composite Alloys prepared by the powder technology compared with a reference stainless steel alloy to be applied for the nuclear applications. The nuclear characterization for the selected Fe-alloys is performed against fast neutrons added to gamma ray. Where, the incident gamma ray has been optimized theoretically against the energy range beginning from 200 to 3000 keV. The study recommends sample S2 Fe-composite alloy prepared by the powder technology technique, which contains 1% wt Silicon plus 5 % wt of Tungsten, that are added at the expense of Iron as a good absorber for Fast ∑R-neutrons at the energy range from 2 to 12 MeV. In addition, it is recommended as a suitable shield against gamma ray to be applied for the nuclear power reactors domain. | ||
