| Abstract | ||
| Background: Puberty is an important period of deaf and mute life girls associated with marked physical, emotional and psychological changes. Aim of study: was to assessment the perception of pubertal deaf and mute girl’s regarding puberty and healthy promotion life style. Design: descriptive research design was used to achieve the aim of the study. Setting: El Amal School for deaf and mute in Helwan city-Egypt. Sample: A purposive sample consists of thirty deaf and mute girls at puberty according to inclusion criteria. Tools: four main tools were used; tool one interviewing questionnaire regarding personal characteristic, tool two knowledge assessment sheets about puberty and healthy lifestyle, tool three attitude assessment sheet regarding puberty and tool four health promotion life style assessment sheet practice. Results: the result of current study showed that there was highly statistically significant correlation between deaf and mute studied girls’ knowledge and attitude regarding puberty and health promotion life style Conclusion: The present study concluded that most of deaf and mute studied girls have poor knowledge and attitude regarding puberty and healthy promotion life style. Recommendations: Apply PRECEED PROCEED model to promote heath life style for deaf and mute girls at puberty | ||
