| Abstract | ||
| This study aims to investigate Brown and Levinson’s (1987) theory of politeness in Prophet Muhammad’s (PBUH) sayings in Sahih Al-Bukhari Hadith. The study presents a description of Brown and Levinson’s strategies and sub-strategies of politeness clarifying their role in creating a harmonious social interaction among interactants. In the course of this study, the research analyzes Brown and Levinson’s (1987) theory of politeness in the English translation of the meanings of Sahih Al-Bukhari, and it presents a detailed sociolinguistic description of the politeness strategies used in the data. The study finds out that Brown and Levinson’s (1987) politeness theory is applicable to the Prophet Muhammad’s (PBUH) sayings in Sahih Al-Bukhari, and the four types of politeness strategies are used in the prophet Muhammad’s (PBUH) sayings.تهدف هذه الدراسة إلى تقصي نظرية التأدب اللغوى لبراون وليفينسون (1987) في أقوال النبي محمد (صلى الله عليه وسلم) في حديث صحيح البخاري. تقدم الدراسة وصفًا لاستراتيجيات براون وليفينسون والاستراتيجيات الفرعية للتأدب اللغوى موضحة دورها في خلق تفاعل اجتماعي متناغم بين المتفاعلين. في سياق هذه الدراسة، يحلل البحث نظرية التأدب اللغوى لبراون وليفينسون في الترجمة الإنجليزية لمعاني حديث صحيح البخاري ، ويقدم وصفًا اجتماعيًا لغويًا مفصلاً لاستراتيجيات التأدب اللغوى المستخدمة في الحديث. توصلت الدراسة إلى أن نظرية التأدب اللغوى لبراون وليفينسون (1987) مستخدمة فى أقوال النبي محمد (صلى الله عليه وسلم) في صحيح البخاري ، وأن الاربعة أنواع من استراتيجيات التأدب اللغوى مستخدمة في أقوال النبي محمد (صلى الله عليه وسلم) | ||
