| Abstract | ||
| This study mainly aimed to study the nutritional and health factors associated with the cumulative sugar rate of children with type I diabetes in the middle and late childhood stages, where the sample consisted of 68 children with insulin-dependent type I diabetes from the age of 6 to 12 years, and visitors to the diabetes clinic, University Children's Hospital in Alexandria, and a questionnaire form was used in the study that included 4 axes (the first axis, the family and personal characteristics of the child, and data on the child's diabetes). (The second axis is the nutritional status of the child studied), (the third axis is the level of nutritional information of the child studied), (the fourth axis is the physical health status, and the psychological and social health suffered by the child studied), and the descriptive results showed that 48.5% of the sample were males, and 51.5% were females, and it was found that the highest percentage of children surveyed were between the ages of 8 to 12 years by 61.76%, and the results indicated that the average age of the sample of mothers was 37.04±5.76, and 42.6% of mothers were Their education is preparatory, and 100% of the sample of mothers did not work, While 91.2% of parents were self-employed, 67.65% were urban, and the average household income per month was 1474.41±1035 pounds, the results showed that the average fasting sugar percentage and the cumulative average sugar for the children surveyed 320 ± 25.06 mg / dL, 8.87±2.07 respectively and is considered high relative to the normal range, and the total energy consumption per day from food was 1809.70± 137.95 calories, the results showed that 63.2% of children have digestive problems, and were exposed to intestinal catarrh, and 13.2% of The sample had a high level of anxiety and the rest of the percentage was moderate, 72.1% of the sample had an average level of social health, and 27.9% had a high level of anxiety. | ||
