| Abstract | ||
| Cities such as Cairo are characterized by a diverse architectural heritage, and they contain a large number of buildings with distinctive architectural and cultural value. However, heritage preservation processes within the framework of sustainable development face a number of urban, social, economic and environmental problems. Therefore, it was important to derive a number of sustainable preservation standards through which these problems can be addressed from their various aspects. To this end, this research analyzed a number of global sustainable development assessment systems that used sustainability standards in heritage preservation with direct and indirect indicators (BREEAM, CASBEE, STAR Communities, UN Culture 2030 Sustainable Development). All of these systems are used for evaluation at the neighborhood level, except for UN Culture 2030, which is used for evaluation at the national and local levels. A number of global and Arab experiences were also studied and a comparative analysis was conducted to extrapolate a number of sustainable preservation standards that can be applied to residential neighborhoods with heritage value to serve as proposed solutions that challenge the process of achieving sustainable heritage preservation. تتميز مدن مثل مدينة القاهرة بتراث عمراني متنوع ، كما انها تحتوي على عدد كبير من المباني ذات القيمة المعمارية والثقافية المتميزة الا ان عمليات الحفاظ على التراث ضمن اطار التنمية المستدامة تواجه عدد من المشكلات العمرانية والاجتماعية والاقتصادية والبيئية ومن ثم كان من المهم استنباط عدد من معايير الحفاظ المستدام التي يمكن من خلالها مواجهة تلك المشكلات من جوانبها المختلفة. وفي سبيل ذلك تم في هذا البحث تحليل عدد من أنظمة تقييم التنمية المستدامة العالمية والتي استخدمت معايير الاستدامة في الحفاظ على التراث بمؤشرات مباشرة ـو غير مباشرة (BREEAM, CASBEE, STAR Communities, UN Culture 2030 Sustainable Development) جميع هذه الأنظمة يتم استخدامها للتقييم على مستوى الحي عدا UN Culture 2030 التي يتم استخدامها للتقييم على المستوى القومي والمحلي. كما تم دراسة عدد من التجارب العالمية والعربية و عمل تحليل مقارن لها ليتم استقراء عدد من معايير الحفاظ المستدام التي يمكن تطبيقها على الأحياء السكنية ذات القيمة التراثية لتكون بمثابة الحلول المقترحة التي تتحدى عملية تحقيق الحفاظ المستدام للتراث . | ||
