| Abstract | ||
| This research aims to investigate the properties and durability of high-strength self-compacting self-curing concrete HS-SC-SCC; three types of self-curing materials (PEG400, LECA, and Red-brick) are conducted; this research is divided into two stages. stage one studies the effect of using quartz powder (QP) by (10, 20, and 30) % as a replacement for sand. stage two studies the effect of using nano-silica (NS) by (1, 2, 3, and 4) % as a replacement for cement on the optimum mixes of stage one, Twenty-seven HS-SC-SCC mixes including control mixes has been examined; this study evaluates the fresh and hardened properties of the HS-SC-SCC; moreover, the effect of environmental conditions, such as exposure to salt attack (NaCl 20%) and elevated temperature (200 ℃) for (12, 24, and 36) hours. is also evaluated. The results of HS-SC-SCC mixes show that using (QP) by 20% as a replacement for sand improves compressive strength at 28 days by 4.19% and 8.69% for (LECA and Red-brick) respectively, and using (QP) by 30% as a replacement for sand improves compressive strength by 21.88% for (PEG400). Moreover, the compressive strength increased by (57.75%, 40.29%, and 32.14 %) When using 2% of NS as a replacement for cement for (PEG400 and Red-brick), and 3% of NS as a replacement for cement for (LECA), respectively, at 28 days. | ||
