| Abstract | ||
| Background: The etiology of liver cirrhosis (LC) varies widely with many causes and fibrosis is the precursor of cirrhosis. Thrombocytopenia is common in advanced liver disease, as well as Splenomegaly. The degree of liver and spleen stiffness can be assessed noninvasively by liver stiffness measurements (LSM) called transient elastography (TE). Aim: to evaluate the relationship between spleen, liver stiffness measured by TE and the degree of thrombocytopenia in patients with LC.
