| Abstract | ||
| Background: Staphylococcus aureus is human pathogen bacteria, it colonies on skin, oral cavity, upper respiratory tract and gastrointestinal.it causing skin infection, soft tissue and hospital acquired infection .Aim : this study amid to isolate S.aureus from skin infection and using honey as alternative pathway to therapeutic resistance bacteria causing skin infection as well as estimated the active compound by using the GC-MS Technique. methods: (110) clinical samples were collected from patients with skin infections through consultation clinics at Ibn Sina General Hospital of Mosul city, Iraq during the period from September 2024 until December 2024, by using conventional methods and VITEK 2 system they identified isolated bacteria , Result: The positive result for isolation S. aureus from skin infection was 76(69.09%),the disc diffusion method used to study resistance of S. aureus against 10 antibiotics agent. S. aureus showed high resist rates to most antibiotics. The highest percentage to isolation of S. aureus according to ages group was (31-50) years at 40.7% followed with (11-30) years at 25% and (51-70) years at 22.3% while ages less than 10 years recorded 6.5% and ages more than 70 years at recorded 5.2%. Furthermore, S. aureus was isolation in 51.3% after surgical skin operation, the biological activity of honey was done in four different concentration (100%,75%, 50%,25%) and the honey showed antibacterial effect same as antibiotics , In addition the high concentration 100% was appeared the best effective concentration that help to inhibition of bacteria growth, | ||
