| Abstract | ||
| No doubt that attention paid to the safety and welfare of children should come above any other interest in order to maintain their safety and protect them from risks in and outside the home. It must be born in mind that safety and quality in the process of selecting clothes for children. Specialists concerned with the design, manufacturing and retail of of ready-made garments in the Egyptian market should take into account the necessary steps to ensure the safety and secure practices of children related to their clothes. Accessories such as buttons and safety pins, snap fasteners, press stud, grommets and eyelets and other common type used accessories and fasteners used in children clothes underline the significance of this study. Fixing such items is regarded as a major risk if not carried out properly and to the specific part of clothing and fabric layer it is designed to be attached to. The research problem has been to identify types of accessories and their expected relative risks and the importance of using a specific number of fabric layers. The objective, therefore has been to find out the most appropriate number of fabric layers of cloth, fusible Interlining and lining underneath the accessories, and to record the significance of using fusible Interlining as a pillar of the layers of cloth, and determine the most appropriate number of stitches to install accessories. There has been a choice of three types of fabrics used commonly in children clothes (a single Jersey, Interlock, Milton) and the diversity of the weight of the raw material varied between light and heavy to provide a variety of material to fit the summer and winter climate, as well as the change in the number of layers used with all type accessory to show the the tensile strength and stability of a named accessory. acceptance level has been fixed at 9 kg to select the most appropriate and safest combination. statistical analysis results of all tests, has proven that a direct correlation between weight of cloth and accessories stability. A similar direct correlation, has been found between the number of layers of cloth and accessories stability. Also it has been proved to be that there is a direct correlation between the use of fusing interlining as a pillar of stability cloth and accessories, as well as a positive correlation between the number of stitches and stitch thickness. | ||
