| Abstract | ||
| Throughout ages, Urban Spaces play an important role for users as a center of social interactions and a place (field) that they can perform different activities, in addition to that Urban Spaces can clearly clarified the cultural, economic and social levels of users through the reciprocal relationship with those spaces , Therefore this paper aim to understand the correlation between the variables of visual spaces of urban in residential buildings, and their impact on the preference of users towards these Urban Spaces by studying design criteria for the coordination of these urban spaces and the visual formation of their elements, as it had a great importance in giving the aesthetic dimension of the space beside its role in achieving psychological comfort to the user inside these spaces. The paper concluded to the importance of landscaping process to urban spaces and the visual formation of its elements on giving a sense of aesthetic to the space and its impact on the cognitive processes of users towards the space, which does not depend only on the physical components, but also are activated through the variables of visual features that can be coordinated inside the urban spaces and give them their unique identity and character that users feel and interact with it.
