| Abstract | ||
| The current review of literature covered the following sections; Prevalence ofdelirium, Nurses assessment of delirium, and management approaches to decrease delirium among mechanically ventilated patients such as ABCDE bundle. The American Psychiatric Association’s (APA)of Mental Disorders (DSM), defined delirium asa sudden onset and fluctuating course of inattention, disturbed level of consciousness and cognition, hallucination or delusion. Symptoms may accompany with sleep, emotional disturbances, and abnormal psychomotor activity (American Psychiatric Association, 2013). | ||
