| Abstract | ||
| Reusing heritage buildings needs to consider several critical criteria in order to determine the optimal use alternative, as the improper use of the heritage building leads to a loss of one or all of the heritage values and sometimes to the loss of the building. Reuse is a very complex and delicate process, as it is directly related to the heritage values on the one hand, and the sources of funding and investment on the other hand so choosing the unsuitable use may lead to a loss of heritage values and cases threaten the survival of the building in some, and the unsuccessful selection of funding sources may cause a halt in use, Hence the importance of management and maintenance plans. Preserving heritage buildings is a delicate process based on three main axes, namely defining the values to be preserved and choosing appropriate preservation methods in accordance with the adopted conservation policy, and then determining the available funding sources in a sequential process with multiple criteria and determinants, and here appears the main problem facing most Heritage buildings is the optimal choice for solutions and decisions related to the preservation process and the link between value standards, use of alternatives, and funding sources The research used AHP hierarchical analysis in the case study (Champillion Palace) through the use of Analytic Hierarchy Process Software (Software 2022) and the analysis was done in two stages, the first to determine the optimal use and the second to determine the appropriate funding. | ||
