Will this paper reviewed several aspects concerning burial mounds and their importance in clarifying about several aspects of the civilization of Delmon. دشنت تـلال المـدافن بدايات الاهتمام بآثار مملکة البحرين، منذ سنة 1879، وما يزال هذا الاهتمام مستمرًا حتى الوقت الحاضر، إذ شکّلتْ من خلال أشکالها ومجموعاتها وأحجامها حافزًا لمعرفة خباياها، کما أن انتشارها الواسع جعلها عرضة للتدمير بسبب تعارض امتدادها مع التوسع العمراني الذي شمل مختلف مناطق المملکة. ولقد قدر عدد تلال المدافن الدلمونية المنتشرة على أرض جزيرة البحرين وحدها بحوالي 85,000 تلًا. وأوضح ما تم تنقيبه ودراسته منها بأنه بالرغم من تشابه أشکالها من الخارج، وجود اختلافات في طريقة إنشائها وعمارتها على الرغم من تزامن فترة إنشائها، وهذا مؤشر على تعدد المعتقدات الدينية لدى سکان مملکة البحرين من الدلمونيين والتي انعکست على طرق إنشاء المدافن وطقوس الدفن. وسوف استعرض في هذه الورقة البحثية جوانب عدة حول ما يتعلق بتلال المدافن وأهميتها في کشف النقاب حول جوانب عدة من حضارة دلمون | ||
