| Abstract | ||
| Visual arts have evolved through different civilizations, reflecting continuous research that combines originality with modernity. Metalworking, a significant artistic field, offers opportunities for reflection, innovation, and interaction with materials and tools, leading to innovative solutions in metal creations. Experimentation has become a central method in modern art, where intellectual effort and emotional expression drive creative processes. Unlike scientific experimentation, the creative process in metalworking emphasizes artistic expression and the final product's aesthetic value. In metal jewelry, the choice of technique and material determines the functional form. Form, technique, and material are interconnected and influence the design, conveying philosophical ideas in a visually distinct way. The type of metal affects the textures applied, with each technique producing different surface appearances. Surface treatments, whether manual or mechanical, create unique aesthetic effects. By exploring materials' hidden beauty, artists discover new qualities, enhancing their work's aesthetic value. Adapting to the material's properties, such as color and texture, is essential for selecting materials that complement the design's intended expression. The researcher presented 15 pieces of metal jewelry in a special exhibition, focusing on tactile effects and surface manipulation through techniques like hammering and pressing. The exhibition aims to demonstrate how tactile values influence the design of contemporary metal jewelry and enrich its aesthetic formulation. The research problem centers on encouraging students to incorporate tactile effects into modern metal jewelry designs, using diverse materials and techniques. The goal is to enhance creativity and reflect the artist's personal style. | ||
